The government has rearranged the office timing for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for all government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous institutions. The decision was taken on Monday (Apr 29) at the weekly cabinet meeting held with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair at the Prime Minister's Office.
Senior Secretary (Coordination and Reforms) of the Cabinet Division Dr Md Shamsul Arefin briefed media at the Secretariat about the cabinet meeting, local media reports said.
He said there will be a 15-minute break from 1:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. for Zohr prayers. Banks, companies and financial institutions will fix their own office timing ahead of the Ramadan, the Secretary added.
