Two-day BPO Summit begins on Apr 21

The Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Summit will be held for the fourth times in Dhaka on Apr 21 and 22 aims to uphold position of the sector in local and international market. The disclosure was made at a press conference held at Directorate of Information & Communication Technology at city's Agargaon on Thursday, local media reported.

Prime Minister's ICT Adviser Sajeeb Ahmed Wazed Joy is expected to inaugurate the summit.

Attending as the chief guest, ICT Division secretary N M Ziaul Alam said the summit is being arranged with a view to upholding technology sector of the country among the youths.

Presenting details of the BPO summit, Bangladesh Association of Call Centre and Outsourcing (BACCO) president Wahid Sharif said people had no idea about BPO sector. Due to arrangement of the summit three times, now all know about the sector.

Aditional Director General of ICT division Maliha Nargis, BACCO Senior Vice-President Abul Khair, Tanvir Ibrahim, Joint General Secretary Tanzirul Bashar, Finance Secretary Aminul Haque, among others, were present the press conference.
