Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have announced the squad for the upcoming World Cup in England. Paceman Abu Jayed Rahi and all-rounder Mosaddek Hossain made the cut while paceman Taskin Ahmed faced disappointment.
Abu Jayed Rahi, who recently played the Test series in New Zealand but is yet to feature in an ODI match for the national team was the surprise inclusion for many. Taskin had recently returned from injury and featured in a Dhaka Premier League (List A ) match but his fitness issue played a hand in him being omitted from the side for the World Cup.
The BCB also announced a 17-man squad for the tri-nation series in Ireland slated to be played in May ahead of the World Cup.
