Ailing minister Obaidul Quader, who was undergoing treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) with three blockages in coronary arteries, is being taken to Singapore for better treatment following the advice of renowned Indian cardiologist Dr. Devi Shetty. An ambulance carrying Quader left for Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport from the hospital at 3.20 p.m.
Family and medical board members are accompanying Quader, local media reported.
Earlier, BSMMU VC Kanak Kanti Barua told media that he would be taken to Singapore for better treatment.
