Salah wins PFA Player of the Month award

Salah wins PFA Player of the Month award

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been named the PFA Premier League Player of the Month for January.

Salah has been given the award after the PFA ran a fan vote online, with the forward competing against Paul Pogba, Leroy Sane, Marcus Rashford, Troy Deeney and David De Gea.

He scored three times in four games for Liverpool in January, with the club ending the month at the top of the Premier League table.

Salah netted twice against Crystal Palace and once against Brighton, both wins, as Liverpool furthered their lead at the top.

The Egyptian is the top scorer in the Premier League this season, as it stands, with 16 goals to his name so far. Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is closest, with 15 goals for the Gunners.

Fans also voted for Salah to win the award in December, making this his second PFA award in-a-row.
