Jatiyo Party Chairman and Leader of the Opposition in Parliament HM Ershad returned home from Singapore on Monday (Feb 4) after treatment. Ershad reached Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on a flight of Singapore Airlines, said a party press release.
Jatiyo Party Senior Co-chairman Raushon Ershad, Co-chairman GM Quader and Ershad’s two sons received him at the airport. Senior party leaders Moshiur Rahman Ranga, Barrister Aminul Islam Mahmud, ABM Ruhul Amin Hawladar, Kazi Firoz Rashid, Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu and Mujibul Hoque Chunnu were, among others, present.
On Jan 20, Ershad went to Singapore for treatment as he was suffering from various health complications, including liver and knee problems.
In Dec 2018, Ershad received treatment in Singapore and returned home on Dec 26, three days before the 11th national parliamentary election.
Jatiyo Party which joined the election as the key partner of the Grand Alliance bagged 22 seats.
