Jatiyo Oikyofront submits memorandum to EC

Top leaders of opposition alliance Jatiyo Oikyafront today submitted a memorandum to the Election Commission demanding re-election under a "neutral" government.

A seven-member delegation of Oikyafront led by Bangladesh Nationalist Party - BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir handed over the memorandum to the Chief Election Commissioner K M Nurul Huda at the commission office in Dhaka’s Agargaon area this afternoon, local media reported.

BNP leader Nazrul Islam Khan, Jatiyo Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) President ASM Abdur Rob, and Nagorik Oikyo Convener Mahmudur Rahman Manna were also among the Oikyofront delegation.
