All industries including readymade garments factories will have to pay the Eid festival bonus to workers by Aug 16. The owners have also been asked to clear part of their salaries for the running month by Aug 19.
State Minister for Labour and Employment Mujibul Haq Chunnu came up with the orders after a meeting with the Crisis Management Committee at his secretariat this afternoon.
In Bangladesh, the holy Eid-ul-Azha is expected to be observe on Aug 22.
