Poets of the stature of Bidyapati, Chandidas, Kalidas, Joydev, Rabindranath Tagor, Kazi Nazrul Islamand Jibanananda Das uniquely portrayed the beauty and connotation of monsoon in their poems and musical compositions. The pitter-patter of the season witnesses plenty of fairs and festivals celebrated with dancing, singing and feasting to welcome the rains.

To usher in the monsoon, cultural organisation Satyen Sen Shilpi Goshthi organised Borsha Utsab 1425 on Friday morning at Bokultola, Faculty of Fine Art, University of Dhaka.

Noted Nazrul singer Dr. Leena Taposhi Khan and Tagore artiste Anima Roy also performed at the event.

The programme included performance of solo and choral songs, group dances, poetry recitation and discussion.
