Bangladesh government has declared general holiday on Jun 26 in Gazipur city centering the Gazipur City Corporation (GCC) polls.
The government declared the holiday on Tuesday to enable the employees of all government, semi-government, autonomous bodies and institutions, private institutions, government and private educational institutions of the area to exercise their voting rights, local media reports said citing an official release.
However, if any public examination is scheduled on the day, examination centers and teachers and employees concerned will remain out of this holiday purview.
