Members of Criminal Investigation department (CID) arrested popular Bangladeshi singer Asif Akbar in case under Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act. Lyricist-composer-singer Shafiq Tuhin, as a plaintiff, filed the case with Tejgaon Police Station on Monday (Jun 4).
A team of the CID arrested him from his Tejgaon studio at around 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday (Jun 6), local media reports said.
Asif was named the prime accused among some 4-5 unnamed persons accused in the case.
