77.77 percent pass SSC, equivalent exams

The results of this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations were published across the country on Sunday (May 6).

A total of 77.77 per cent students passed this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations, which is 2.58 percentage points lower compared to previous years. As many as 1,10,629 students secured the highest Grade Point Average (GPA-5) this year where as it was 1,04,761 in 2017, according to local media reports.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid this morning formally handed over a copy of the SSC and equivalent examinations results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Gonobhaban in presence of the chairmen of all the 10 education boards.

The education minister will hold a press conference giving the details of the SSC results at his office at 1:00 p.m., sources said.

The results will be made available at 2:00 p.m. all over the country. The students can get the results from their respective school or it will also be available on www.educationboardresults.gov.bd.

A total of 20.31 lakh students from 28,551 educational institutions under 10 educational boards appeared in this year's SSC and equivalent examinations.

How to get results

The results will be available via Short Message Service (SMS).

Students can get the results by typing SSC/DAKHIL first three letters of the board's namestudent's roll number2018 and sending the message to 16222.
