Bangladesh Nationalist Party – BNP Standing Committee Member Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain said BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is much better now than before. "Madam (Khaleda Zia) is physically better than before. Doctors are visiting her at home and providing regular medical care," he said.
Dr. Zahid said this while speaking as the chief guest at an Iftar Mahfil organised by Zia Parishad, U.K. at a hall in East London, the United Kingdom on Monday (Mar 3) evening (local time).
The event was organised to pray for the Chairperson Khaleda Zia's recovery. She has wished the countrymen a holy Ramadan, he said.
"If we want to make the future beautiful, we have to implement what is written in the books (in the constitution). The country must run through good governance according to the law," he added.
BNP's U.K. branch President Professor Dr. Saiful Alam Chowdhury chaired the event while Chairperson's Adviser and UK BNP President MA Malek, its General Secretary and National Executive Committee member Koysor M Ahmed, renowned filmmaker Jobayer Babu, Zia Parishad UK Advisor Advocate Rezaul Karim, among others, spoke.
The event was hosted by Zia Parishad Senior Joint General Secretaries Kabi Kawsar and Ahsan Uddin Monir.
