A month-long Islamic Book Fair is going on at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque premises in Dhaka on Saturday (Mar 1). The Islamic Foundation organised it on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, said a press release.
Religious Affairs Adviser Dr AFM Khalid Hossain inaugurated the fair as the chief guest on Saturday afternoon, the release added. Later, the adviser visited various stalls on fair premises.
The book fair will remain open to the public from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. every day.
A total of 64 stalls have been set up in this year's fair.
Various basic and research books on different subjects of Islam, including translations of the Holy Quran, Tafsir, Hadith books are available at the fair.
Besides, 35 percent commission is being given on all books at the stall of Islamic Foundation.
