The Dhaka University and its seven affiliated colleges (Dhaka College, Begum Badrunnesa Government Girls' College, Eden Mohila College, Government Bangla College, Government Shaheed Suhrawardy College, Government Titumir College and Kabi Nazrul Government College) have postponed all examinations, scheduled for Monday (Jan 27), citing unavoidable circumstances. The DU in a statement said all classes and exams have been postponed for today. The authorities have also postponed examinations at seven government colleges.
The fresh dates for the postponed examinations will be announced later, the statement said.
Hundreds of students of DU and its seven affiliated colleges clashed with each other till midnight in the city's Nilkhet area.
Police and BGB have been deployed to prevent violence.
