Bayern snatch 1-1 draw at Dortmund

Bayern snatch 1-1 draw at Dortmund

Bayern Munich came from behind to draw 1-1 away at Borussia Dortmund on Saturday (Nov 30). Jamie Gittens' superb solo effort in the first half looked to condemn Vincent Kompany's side to their first Bundesliga defeat of the season, only for Jamal Musiala to equalise with five minutes left. A draw kept them top, seven points clear of Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer Leverkusen. Frankfurt will cut that lead to four points, though, should they win at Heidenheim on Sunday. A point for Dortmund moved them up to fifth place, above Freiburg on goal difference.

Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich scored an 85th-minute equaliser through in-form Jamal Musiala to rescue a 1-1 draw at Borussia Dortmund in the Klassiker on Saturday (Nov 30) and go seven points clear at the top.

Dortmund, who had won their previous six home games in the league this season, took a 27th-minute lead thanks to Jamie Gittens's superb solo effort before the visitors suffered another blow six minutes later when top scorer Harry Kane was taken off injured.

Kane, who was set for a scan later on Saturday, is now doubtful for next week's German Cup clash against holders Bayer Leverkusen.

The Bavarians, who had won their last seven matches across all competitions without conceding a goal, improved after the break and carved out a string of chances but lacked some clinical finish before Musiala's equaliser.

Bayern are on 30 points in top spot, seven ahead of Eintracht Frankfurt, who are in action at Heidenheim on Sunday. Dortmund remain in fifth on 20.
