Business leaders meet Industries Adviser

A delegation comprising business leaders of various chambers and associations, led by President of Bangladesh Chamber of Industries (BCI) Anwar-Ul-Alam Chowdhury (Parvez), met Industries Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan at the Ministry conference room on Monday (Nov 18). During the meeting, the BCI President highlighted the law and order situation in the industrial belt, labour issue and other existing problems in the industrial sector. Anwar also urged all to find out the existing problems and thus finding out solutions standing in the ways of trade, commerce and industries. The business leaders also projected sector-specific issues and problems before the Industries Adviser, said a press release.

In response, Adilur Rahman Khan directed the authorities concerned to give immediate solutions to some problems.

Industries Secretary Zakia Sultana suggested all concerned to sit again on the issues related to labour, law and order, banking, NBR, BIDA and thus send those proposals to different offices through the Ministry of Industries.

Former FBCCI president Mir Nasir Hossain, BGMEA Administrator M Anwar Hossain, MCCI President Kamran T Rahman, DCCI President Ashraf Ahmed, Leather goods and Footwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association of Bangladesh President Syed Nasim Manzur, Managing Director of Bata Shoe Company (Bangladesh) Ltd Debabrata Mukherjee, Uttara Motor Corporation Ltd Chairman Motiur Rahman were present, among others, on the occasion.
