Girls are playing good football, says Sabina

Bangladesh women's football team skipper Sabina Khatun praised her girls consistence performance in the ongoing SAFF tournament by saying the girls are playing good football. "It's a matter of ease that girls are playing good football in the tournament... I expect prayer to my countrymen before the big final match," said Sabina to a pre-final press conference in Kathmandu on Tuesday (Oct 29) at the match venue, according to a video message.

Defending champions Bangladesh face host Nepal in final match to defend the of seven-nation SAFF Women's Championship title scheduled to be held on Wednesday (Oct 30) evening at Dasharath Rangasala Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal at 6.45 p.m. (Bangladesh time).

The Bangladesh captain replying to a question said her team would face a little bit disadvantages in the final match because most of the players of this team are young though they have playing experience in this field in front of this home crowd.

"I am enjoying the environment of final match rather I think Nepal will be under pressure in front of their home crowd in the final match," she added.

The confident Sabina said the way her girls have gone through the tournament and able to overcome is really unbelievable and she hoped that they would carry out the same performance in the final match.

The Bangladesh team held a training session on Tuesday at the Army Headquarters Ground. This final training focused on refining tactical plays, enhancing coordination and ensuring all players are in top form for the championship match.

Newly-elected Bangladesh Football Federation executive members Md. Iqbal Hossain, Md. Golam Gaus, Tipu Sultan and Kamrul Hasan Hilton have come to Nepal to encourage the Bangladesh team in the final match.

Their presence provided an additional morale boost to the players who  expressed their appreciation for the federation's commitment and support.
