Police on Wednesday (Oct 16) night arrested former Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Md Atiqul Islam from the city’s Mohakhali DOHS area. Muhammad Talebur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Media and Public Relations of Detective Branch of Police of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed BSS that they rounded up him at 7 p.m.
Atiqul was accused in several cases that include three for murder with Mohammadpur Police Station.
