The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has deferred its pre-announced rally on 'World Democracy Day' due to inclement weather. The rally will be held on Tuesday (Sep 17) instead of Sunday (Sep 15), said BNP's Standing Committee Member Dr AZM Zahid Hossain at a press conference held at BNP Chairpersons' political office in the city's Gulshan area, local media reported.
Zahid Hossain said BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman will attend the event virtually from London.
The programme was scheduled to be held in front of the BNP central office at Naya Paltan on Sunday.
