In response to the devastating floods impacting northeastern and southeastern Bangladesh, Standard Chartered Bangladesh is delivering emergency relief to 100,000 flood-affected individuals.

The initiative is providing relief packages containing provisions for meals over seven days, reaching impacted communities across flood-impacted areas, including Feni, Noakhali, Laxmipur, Comilla, Hobiganj, Moulavibazar, Sylhet, Khagrachori, Chattogram, Brahmanbaria and Chadpur. The packages contain essential non-perishable foodstuff, saline, drinking water and water purification tablets. The first phase of this initiative is being delivered in partnership with Bidyanondo Foundation.

Naser Ezaz Bijoy, Chief Executive Officer, Standard Chartered Bangladesh, said, "The floods in Bangladesh have been unexpected in its severity, and it has been truly inspiring to see our society as a whole come together and aid those in need. As a Bank that has been serving this nation for 119 years, it is our duty to support the distressed communities, standing shoulder to shoulder with the ongoing efforts. We remain committed to support the resilience of Bangladesh, during this challenging time and in the long run – a true partner in progress to the nation.”
