Dhaka Metro rail will resume its operation from Sunday (Aug 25) with a new schedule. The weekly off-day of metro rail will remain as before which is Friday. However, due to unavoidable reasons, the metro rail will not stop at Mirpur-10 and Kazipara metro rail stations initially and passenger services in these stations will remain stopped, said a press release of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) on Saturday (Aug 24).
Necessary instructions for passengers regarding Metro rail travel will be available on DMTCL's official website and Facebook page, the release added.
As per the published schedule, people can travel using only MRT passes at two metro trains departing from Uttara Uttar Metro rail station at 7:10 a.m. and 7:20 a.m.
Metro trains departing from Motijheel Metro Rail Station after 9:13 p.m. can only be traveled using MRT Passes.
Single journey tickets can be purchased from Metro rail stations from 7:20 a.m. to 8:50 p.m. MRT pass purchase and MRT pass top up can be done at the same time.
All offices for ticket-sale and ticketing machines at Metro rail stations will be closed after 8:50 p.m.
