Professor Dr ASM Maksud Kamal
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr ASM Maksud Kamal and provosts of six halls on Saturday (Aug 10) submitted their resignations, according to sources. The provosts of Rokeya Hall, Shamsun Nahar Hall, Bijoy Ekattor Hall, Bangabandhu Hall, Muktijoddha Ziaur Rahman Hall, Shaheed Sergeant Zahurul Haque Hall and Salimullah Muslim Hall resigned.
A group of students of Dhaka University on Friday (Aug 9) staged demonstrations on Dhaka University campus demanding the resignation of the Vice-Chancellor (Administration and Education), proctor, assistant proctor, treasurer, all provosts and all senate and syndicate members along with Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr ASM Maksud Kamal.
Professor ASM Maksud Kamal was appointed as the 29th Vice-Chancellor in place of former Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman on Nov 4, 2023.
