The government has decided to open government primary schools from Aug 4 – except schools in 12 city corporations. Primary schools in the municipalities of Narsingdi district will also remain closed for now.
According to a notification of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education issued on Wednesday (Jul 31), district primary education officers, if needed, can make decisions on the timing of schooling taking into account the duration of the curfew in their areas.
