Curfew relaxed for 11 hrs in Dhaka, two other cities

The curfew imposed amid the quota reform movement in Dhaka, Gazipur and Narayanganj will be relaxed for 11 hours from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday (Jul 30), local media reported.

Earlier on Saturday, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal announced the relaxation of the ongoing nationwide curfew in Dhaka, Gazipur and Narayanganj for three more days after a meeting with law enforcers at his Dhanmondi residence.

The Minister also said that in the rest of the districts, the District Administrators and law enforcement agencies will coordinate and decide on the curfew in their respective areas.
