Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Monday (Apr 22) issued country-wide heat wave alert message for the next 72 hours. BMD said the prevailing heat wave over the country may continue during next 72 hours commencing on Monday, adding the heat wave likely to continue till Thursday (Apr 24) morning.
Due to increase moisture incursion, the discomfort may increase, said the message.
The intensity of the heat wave although seems recede temporarily due to the cloudy sky, but the intensity of the heat wave will increase again from Tuesday (Apr 23).
Earlier, the BMD had issued a 72-hour heat wave alert on Friday (Apr 19).
