Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan and Opu Biswas are now officially separated. There is a final announcement on Monday (Mar 12) from Dhaka North City Coprporaion (DNCC) that the divorce occurred between Shakib Khan and Opu Biswas. According to local media reports, DNCC Zone-3 Executive Officer Hemayet Hossain claimed this.
Hemayet Hossain said that, "The third and final hearing on the divorce proceedings of Shakib Khan and Opu Biswas was Monday (Mar 12). They were called for the settlement. Earlier, they were called on Jan 12 and Feb 12".
Opu appeared on the hearing on Jan 12, but Shakib did not appear. However, Opu did not appear on other two dates. The settlement date of 90 days is settled today due to the statutory deadline. Divorce has been effective since Monday (Mar 12).
Hemayet Hossain also said after appearing on Jan 12 Opu Biswas expressed interest in sharing her life with Shakib Khan. Meanwhile, Shakib Khan did not come once, so no compromise was possible in this regard.
When contacted, Shakib said a media that "Everything was done in the legal process. I do not want to think about this anymore. Everything is in past. Now I'm busy with the work and I want to concentrate on work."
On Nov 22 last year, Shakib Khan sent a divorce letter to his wife Opu Biswas through his lawyer. The lawyer sent the divorce notice on behalf of Shakib Khan to the DNCC's mayor office, Opu Biswas's residences in Dhaka and Bogra. Hemayet Hossain also said, Opu Biswas, got this letter on Dec 12. Then on Jan 12, the DNCC organized the first arbitration meeting.
On Apr 18, 2008, the popular pair of Bangladeshi film Shakib Khan and Opu Biswas married secretly. On Sep 27, 2016, their son, Abram Khan Joy, was born. Shakib and Opu both kept the child's birth concealed.
