Nazmul Hossain Shanto has been made the captain of the Bangladesh national cricket team in all three formats. The decision was taken in the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) board meeting on Monday (Feb 12), local media reported.
Among the topics discussed in the meeting were the selection panel, the World Cup investigation report, Shakib Al Hasan's captaincy, and the appointment of a new coach.
Last year, Shakib Al Hasan said that he does not want to continue as the captain after the World Cup. After the World Cup, Shakib could not play due to an injury. In his absence, Shanto was given the responsibility of the Bangladesh team. This time, Nazmul Hossain Shanto was made the captain for all three formats.
