Traffic guidelines on Martyred Intellectuals' Day

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has issued traffic guidelines for residents on the Martyred Intellectuals Day to be observed on Thursday (Dec 14). According to the guidelines, President, Prime Minister, Parliament Speaker, Chief Justice, cabinet members, parliament members, foreign diplomats and high government officials and cross section of people will go to Mirpur Martyred Intellectuals Memorial on that day, said a DMP release.

All sorts of vehicles including buses, trucks, human haulers, three wheelers, rickshaw vans have been asked to use alternative routes avoiding Mirpur Mazar Road area (from Mazar Road crossing to Mirpur-1 crossing) between 4am and 9:30am on Thursday.

Mirpur-bound vehicles from Ashulia via Beribadh will have to use Shah Ali Thana road by turning left from Nababer Bagh crossing.

Modes of transportation that cross the adjoining areas of Shah Ali shrine via Mazar road will need to use Darussalam road from Technical Intersection.

Vehicles plying Gabtoli from Mirpur 10, via Mazar road, have been asked to use Darussalam road via Technical crossing after turning left from Mirpur-1.
