A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is signed between Bangladesh University (BU) and the United Commercial Bank PLC. Md. Firoz Alam, Sr. Executive Vice-Chairman & Head of Transaction (Banking Division), UCB PLC and BU’s Director, (Finance and Accounts) SM Firoz Ahmed signed the MOU at a ceremony in the university campus on Wednesday (Nov 15).
Vice-Chancellor of BU (acting) Prof. Dr. Md. Jahangir Alam, Treasurer (acting) Sazedul Alam, Registrar Brig. Gen. Md. Mahbubul Haque, (Retd.); and Additional MD, Nabil M Rahman of UCB, First Vice-President Farhana Akter, Vice-President (Transaction Banking) Riad Hashim and Relationship Manager (Transaction Banking) Muhammad Abdun Nur were present, among others, in the ceremony.
Under this MoU, the students of BU can use their Ids to make payment of tuition fees by printing out payment slip of the respective semester in any branches of UCB, and the amount they deposit will be shown in the respective student’s Id. Besides, in future, under this agreement the students will be able to make any payment of their tuition fees online.
