Bangladesh Election Commission has withheld the gazette notification of the results of by-elections to Lakshmipur-3 and Brahmanbaria-2 due to allegations of irregularities.
The commission will investigate into the allegations and decision will be taken on the basis of probe report, said EC Secretary Md Jahangir told reporters at Nirbachan Bhaban in the city's Agargaon on Wednesday (Nov 7) afternoon, local media reported.
The voting was held in the two constituencies on Sunday (Nov 5).
