Commuters can use the Dhaka metro rail for 12 hours from Wednesday (May 31). The metro rail will operate from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the Uttara-Agargaon route.

The metro rail will run from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., six days a week, from Wednesday (May 31). As per the new schedule, the weekly closure of the service will be Friday, instead of Tuesday.

During the designated peak hours, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., and 3.01 p.m to 6 p.m., trains will arrive at the stations every 10 minutes in both directions.

Earlier, the operating hours of Dhaka Metro Rail was 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

On Dec 28, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the country’s first elevated metro rail, setting a milestone in the communication history.
