Country Director of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Dr. Susan Vize called on Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman on Monday (May 29) at the VC office. She was accompanied by Head of Education, UNESCO, Dhaka office Huhua Fan and National Program Officer for education Dhana Ranjan Tripura, said a press release.
During the meeting, they discussed the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative research and academic programs between DU and UNESCO. They held a fruitful discussion about establishment of 'UNESCO Chair' at DU, first of its kind in Bangladesh.
Dr. Susan Vize apprised Md. Akhtaruzzaman of the collaborative research and academic proposals and progress of UNESCO Chair programs at Dhaka University.
Dr. Akhtaruzzaman thanked UNESCO Director Dr. Susan Vize for her visit to and keen interest in undertaking collaborative academic and research programs with DU.
