Awami League pays tributes to language martyrs

The ruling Bangladesh Awami League today paid rich tributes to the language martyrs by placing wreaths at Azimpur graveyard in the city on the occasion of Shaheed Dibash (Martyrs Day) and the International Mother Language Day. A party delegation led by Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader laid wreaths there through 'Provat Feri' (procession)in memory of language heroes this morning, local media reported.

Awami League Joint General Secretary and Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud, Awami League Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim, Organising Secretaries Ahmed Hossain and Advocate Afzal Hossain, Publicity and Publication Secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap, Office Secretary Barrister Biplab Barua, Science and Technology Affairs Secretary Engineer Md Abdus Sabur, Relief and Social Welfare Affairs Secretary Aminul Islam Amin, Cultural Affairs Secretary Asim Kumar Ukil, Agriculture and Cooperative Affairs Secretary Faridun Nahar Laili, Population and Health Affairs Secretary Dr Rokeya Sultana and Deputy Publicity Secretary Syed Abdul Awal Shamim were preset, among others, on the occasion.
