RCC launches call centre

Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) has launched the command and control call centre aimed at ensuring cherished information services to the citizens through reaching its services at their doorsteps. RCC Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton opened the centre at the city bhaban on Wednesday (Feb 15) afternoon saying they have launched the venture for the first time among other city corporations in the country, local media reported.

From now on, the citizens can avail different types of civic services, including waste management, healthcare and holding tax besides getting their requisite information through calling number 16105.

In the initial stage, the centre will remain open from 9am to 4pm every day except the weekends.

"We will also receive problems, complaints and suggestions from the citizens through the centre," he added.

The centre also has provision of monitoring close circuit cameras installed in RCC's installations.

Mayor Liton said they have plans for bringing entire areas of the city under close circuit cameras in future.
