The prize giving ceremony of NOVOAIR Cup Golf Tournament 2018 was held at Savar golf club on Saturday (Feb 3). President of Savar golf club and General Officer Commanding of 9 Infantry Division Major General Md Akbar Hossain, SUP, afwc, psc, G+, was the chief guest and Mofizur Rahman, Managing Director of NOVOAIR was the special guest to attend the program. Prizes were distributed among the winners by the chief guest and special guest. NOVOAIR sponsored the three day tournament organized by Savar golf club from Feb 1, said a press release.
About 300 local and foreign golfers have participated in this three-day tournament in six different categories.
Rois Uddin Siddique has been the champion of the tournament. Besides, Inkiad bin Arman as junior category winner, Nila Aziz as lady's winner, Lt. Col. AKM Golam Mostaba as senior winner, Colonel Aminul Islam (Retd.) as super senior winner and Tanveer Madar as veteran was to receive trophies.
Senior officials of different golf clubs including Savar Golf Club and high officials of NOVOAIR and other prominent personalities were present on the occasion.
NOVOAIR has been patronizing cricket, football, volleyball, hockey etc games as part of their social responsibilities. NOVOAIR had been the patron of different golf tournaments earlier also, the release added.
