History Department of Murari Chand (MC) College has launched an online library named 'mchiste-library' to facilitate its teachers and students to read any kind of books online. MC College Principal Professor Panna Rani Ray inaugurated the library at a function at the department on the campus, said a press release.
The department made its library online with the support from History Forum as the first department of the university.
At the function, first year students of the department were accorded reception while an annual magazine of the department titled 'Nabajatra' was also unveiled.
Master's student of History Department Emran Miah projected a presentation on the use of the e-library.
Chairman of the department Professor Nure Farhana Begum presided over the function while General Secretary of MC College Shikkhak Parishad Md Toufiq Ejdani Chowdhury spoke at the function as the special guest.
History Forum President Shaon Sarker Dipta delivered welcome address at the event. Heads, teachers and students of different departments were present at the function while History Department students Syed Kutub Uddin and Anik Pradhan conducted it.
