SSC, equivalent exams begin Sep 15

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni on Monday (Sep 5) said the Secondary School Certificate (SSC), Dakhil and SSC/Dakhil (Vocational) exams will start on Sep 15 next.

The examinations were scheduled to be held on Jun 19. But it was postponed due to devastating flood in Sylhet, Mymensingh and northern areas of the country. Now it will begin on Sep 15, she said.

The minister was addressing a press meet at her ministry in secretariat, local media reported.

While replying to the queries of the newsmen, she said, In future, exams will be postponed in only those specific regions to be affected by natural calamities, and exams in the remaining areas will take place accordingly.

Due to the global pandemic, the marks and time of the exams were reduced by the government.

The exam will be held on a restructured short syllabus and its schedule has also been changed... Now it will be held at 11am instead of 10 a.m., the minister said.
