Bus fares reduced by Tk 0.05 per kilometer

Bus fares have been reduced by Tk 0.05 per kilometer across the country following a decrease of fuel oil prices by Tk 5 per liter.

Per kilometer fare for long route bus has been fixed at Tk 2.15 instead of Tk 2.20 reducing by Tk 0.05 per kilometer, Road Transport and Highways Division Secretary ABM Amin Ullah Nuri said at a briefing after a meeting of the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority with the transport leaders at its headquarters here.

Besides, the bus fare for Dhaka and Chattogram cities has been fixed at Tk 2.45 instead of Tk 2.50, he added.
