Biman Bangladesh Airlines will start its much-awaited Dhaka-Toronto-Dhaka flight Wednesday (Jul 27). The national flag carrier will operate two weekly flights on every Wednesday and Sunday on the route, a press release of the airline said on Tuesday.
The maiden flight BG-305 will leave the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 3:30 a.m. on Jul 27 for Toronto.
The Dhaka to Toronto flight will have a stopover in Istanbul, Turkey for refueling. On the other hand, it will return back to Dhaka from Toronto directly flying 16 hours without any stopover.
Every Sunday, Biman flight BG-305 will depart from Dhaka at 3:30 a.m. and will land in Istanbul at 8:30 a.m. local time. After an hour, the flight will depart from Istanbul and reach Toronto at 1:25 p.m. local time.
Biman will operate the flights through its brand new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, said the release.
