Mild cold wave likely throughout January

The current mild cold wave, sweeping over most regions of the country, is likely to continue throughout January while the moderate cold wave hitting certain regions might ease within next two or three days as the country's overall mercury level starts increasing gradually,local media reports said.

The moderate cold wave with minimum temperature at 6.1-8.0 degree Celsius is likely to abate by the next two or three days. However, the mild cold wave situation, may continue throughout this month over a few regions of the country, according to a meteorologist at Bangladesh Meteorological Department.

Moderate to thick fog may occur over the country from midnight to morning and it may continue at places till noon while weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country.
