Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will address the nation on Friday (Jan 12), marking the completion of her government's four years in office after the Jan 5, 2014 national election. The PM's speech will simultaneously be broadcast by Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Betar as well as private TV channels and radio stations from 7 p.m., said Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor on Wednesday (Jan 10).
Addressing a press conference at his ministry, Asaduzzaman Noor stated that a cultural event will also be held at the Army Stadium of the capital in the evening on the occasion where Prime Minister's address will be projected on big screen, local media reports said.
On Jan 12, 2014, Bangladesh Awami League government, led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, took office for the second consecutive term with an overwhelming victory in the general election held on Jan 5, 2014.
