Bangladesh Nationalist Party - BNP will stage 'demonstration' at every thana of the capital on Saturday (Jan 6) protesting authorities' rejection to allow the party for holding its pre-scheduled rally in Dhaka. Earlier, BNP sought permission twice from authorities to hold rally on Jan 5 to mark party-declared 'Democracy Killing Day'.
BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the demonstration program in a press conference at BNP's Nayapaltan central office in Dhaka on Friday (Jan 5), local media reports said.
BNP sought permission for holding rally at Suhrawardy Udyan but denied. Later they sought permission to hold that rally at Paltan but Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) didn't allow.
