Annisul Huq's body reached Dhaka

The body of Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Annisul Huq has been brought back to Dhaka on Saturday (Dec 2).  A flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the body reached at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the noon.

Bangladesh Awami League leaders including Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif, Prime Minister's Principal Secretary Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury and senior officials of the city corporation were present at the airport.

At the age of 65, Annisul lost the battle for life in a London hospital on Thursday (Nov 30), after nearly three months' treatment there for neurological complications.

Annisul's body has been taken to his Banani home and from here will be taken to the army stadium in the afternoon so that people can see him and pay their respects for the last time.

His Namaz-e-Janaza will be held there after Asr prayers. He will be buried at the Banani graveyard, local media reports said.
