Shakib fined fifty percent match fee

On-field tantrums are becoming a regular affair in this season’s BPL and yesterday’s match between Dhaka Dynamites and Comilla Victorians saw Dynamites skipper Shakib Al Hasan lose his temper. After Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das were fined for their altercation with the umpire, this time it was Shakib who became desperate with a arrangement

During a tightly contested affair, Shakib showed his rage to a decision by umpire Ranmore Martinesz.  The circumstance occurred on the fifth ball of the ninth over when Shakib’s delivery pitched on leg-middle and turned back to hit Imrul Kayes’s pad. Shakib went up in a confident appeal and was denied by the Sri Lankan umpire. Shakib directed a few harsh words at the umpire in rage before kicking the ground in frustration.

Shakib has been fined fifty percent of his match fees and also accumulated three demerit points.
