England 0-0 Germany

England 0-0 Germany

An inexperienced England side impressed as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Germany at Wembley in an international friendly on Friday (Nov 10).

Gareth Southgate named an unfamiliar starting XI as England took on Germany at Wembley, with many of those stars getting a great opportunity to audition for a spot at 2018 World Cup.

The Three Lions welcomed the reigning world champions to London, with a side boasting the likes of Bayern Munich’s Mats Hummels, Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil, Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger and Manchester City duo Leroy Sane and Ilkay Gundogan.

While a victory over Joachim Low’s men would perhaps not be expected, Southgate’s fringe players had an opportunity to shine at the home of English football to prove they can cut it at the top level and after earning a 0-0 draw, they can feel satisfied at a job well done.
