The country's renowned sculptor Ferdousi Priyabhashini was admitted to Labaid Hospital in Dhaka on Wednesday (Nov 8) due to multiple complications including diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease, local media reports said.
She was taken to the hospital in the noon in "critical condition" from her Gulshan residence of the capital, according to sources. She is now undergoing treatment at coronary care unit (CCU)-1 of the hospital.
It was learnt that a 10-member medical board was formed to assess her physical condition.
Her condition deteriorated after she fell down on the floor at her residence on Wednesday. Earlier, she had also undergone a bypass surgery.
