A mild earthquake jolted the capital city and different parts of the country this morning, according to Bangladesh Meteorological Department. The tremor, measuring 4.7 in Richter scale, was felt around 11:00 a.m.
The epicentre of the earthquake was in Tripura, India, 75 kilometres east of the BMD office in Dhaka.
However, no damages and casualties were reported till filing this report.
