Bangladesh Election Commission will disclose it's decision on the rescheduling of the upcoming national election on Monday (Nov 12), said Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda. The CEC made the remarks on Sunday (Nov 11) following the request of the newly floated political alliance Jatiyo Oikyafront, local media reports said.
Talking to reporters at Nirbachan Bhaban, the CEC said, “I can’t say anything right now whether the election schedule will be changed or not…I’ll be able to inform about it tomorrow (Monday).”
The Election Commission certainly wants an inclusive election with the participation of all political parties, he said.
On Nov 8, the CEC announced that the 11th parliamentary elections will be held on Dec 23 and the last date for submitting nomination papers is Nov 19.
