No polls-time government is being formed for the 11th parliamentary polls as the present cabinet will remain effective. The cabinet isn’t being minimized in shape as well.
Only the technocrat ministers of the cabinet -- Religious Affairs Minister Principal Motiur Rahman, Expatriate's Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Nurul Islam, ICT and Telecom Minister Mustafa Jabbar, Science and Technology Minister Yeafesh Osman have been removed.
Prime Minister, also Bangladesh Awami League President Sheikh Hasina disclosed the decision at the regular cabinet meeting Monday (Nov 6). She chaired the meeting at the cabinet meeting room, local media reports said.
Sheikh Hasina is expected to brief media Thursday (Nov 8) to disclose the developments made in the recent talks with political coalitions.
The briefing will be held at her official residence Ganabhaban in the noon.
